When we first got to Atlanta, we went to The Varsity with the fam. Millie had her first experience of getting yelled at while waiting to order and eating slaw dogs, onion rings, and a Frosted Orange (vicariously, of course). Then, we headed back to the hotel, and then we hit the mall. After a decent night's sleep, we traveled to Marietta to see our precious niece's, Naomi, baby blessing. She is a doll, and - at only 3.5 months younger than Millie - they should be good buds. Then we had a nice luncheon and were able to see my cousin, Britt's, family.

More driving took us home to Cherokee. While in Cherokee, we ate a lot of great food, saw some great friends, and had some yummy Japanese food (as usual).

Millie and her auntie Steph (Steph was here on the day we came home from the hospital)

She was not a fan (I love the double chin)
Then, we headed to Steph's house and spent the day on Lake James. It was Millie's first time on the lake, and she spent a lot of her time sleeping; but, she was a good sport (especially considering she had to wear a bulky life jacket the whole time). I tried to get up on the wakeboard like 20 times - seriously. I could not get the hang of it. I was raised on skis, and I hadn't skied in 10 years!
The we headed to Charlotte and spent some QT with Blake, Lindsay, and the boys. They were very cute with Millie; Gavin loved giving her hugs. And, Lindsay did a wonderful photo shoot (photos to come).
Blake, Millie, & Gavin (note Millie's drool on Blake's shoulder)
Then, it was back to Atlanta to see Ryan, Jana, and fam. Then, back to Midland. Millie was great on the flights. I was initially worried, but she did very well.
She experienced a lot of firsts on this trip: her 2 front bottom teeth came in, she started saying a consonant sound (babababa), she saw/touched her first dog, she tried her first lemon, and it was her first time on the lake - not to mention her first time meeting the Hart cousins. Overall, it was a great trip, and we can't wait to do it again (for a longer time) in September.
