I'm 5 Months Old!

Millie continues to become more fun and lovable. She loves playing with her feet/toes and sometimes sucks on them. She has also started pulling her own hair a little bit (weird?) - it doesn't hurt her; I think she just finds it and pulls it like she is always doing to mine. She giggles very often now, and she must think she is quite funny because she giggles at herself in her carseat a lot. She loves playing on her tummy and can situp unassisted for several seconds at a time. She is starting to pull her knees under her bum more, too. And, she loves sleeping on her tummy - just like her mom. She has also been fussy on and off for the last couple of weeks. We think she's teething, but we have yet to see/feel any tooth buds. She is precious, and we love her!

Another Hobby?

I have taken on a lot of new hobbies lately. So, I probably shouldn't take on yet another one, but I have been inspired by friends' talents and enjoyed actually getting a little taste of cake decorating on Wednesday night. (Pun intended.) Sister Gifford was kind enough to teach the Young Women about cake decorating at her home on Wednesday night, and the leaders got to play around, too. Here is my first effort. I was pretty proud, and now I am inspired to make cool cakes for every birthday my kids have. Tall order? Yes. Do-able? Maybe. A fun outlet for my minor creative side? Yes, definitely. (I don't know why the pictures are sideways. Sorry.)

I'm 4 Months Old!

Well, Millie has confirmed her "healthy" status according to the pediatrician. He called her a moose this time. Compliment? Ummmm....yes, I think it was meant to be a compliment. She was 16 lbs 1 oz (90th %) and 26 in (96th %). She is now rolling over from her tummy to her back immediately after being laid on her back. Sometimes she figures out how to roll back to her back, but she generally just fusses until we roll her back over. She smiles and giggles all the time and loves grasping objects and putting them in her mouth. She has pretty much mastered the art of picking her binky up and putting it back in her mouth, but she usually tries to put it in backwards and then gets mad when it doesn't stay put. While on her tummy, she is digging her heels into the carpet and raising her bum into the air - basically, she's trying to crawl without knowing how to crawl. She is a great baby, and we love watching her grow!

Roberts Visit and Baby Blessing

I realize it has taken me a long time to post these pictures...We had a great time when the Roberts and Piersons came to visit in mid-April. It was such a joy to have them in our home and to have them share in Millie's baby blessing. Unfortunately, our church starts at 9 am, so we didn't get to take many pictures before hand. Then, Millie blew out her diaper and soiled her dress shortly after the blessing, so we didn't get many pics afterward, either. It was a great day nonetheless.
