I was able to spend the Easter weekend with the Hart fam in NC! We had a really fun time hanging out, doing an Easter egg hunt, and of course eating....Mom surprised everyone with a bunny....the kids loved Flopsy II (Flopsy I was my bunny as a kid who "ran away" after chewing through a lot of the netting of our patio in Florida)....anyway, it was a great time! We missed Chris, but we will catch him next time.....and, we are in the process of moving into our house....I'll post some pics after the dust settles...

A Taste of the Conchords...

I just got back from Utah after a rather unexpected series of events. First of all, because of snow in Dallas and waiting for the de-icing of my plane's wings, I arrived in Provo at 3 am on Tuesday morning. But, I was able to go to see the Flight of the Conchords play at the Omniture User Conference in SLC on Wednesday, which was awesome!!! My sister-in-law Jessica and I had a wonderful time! We were at the front of the stage, and they sang all the classics....Also, I was able to spend lots of time with the Roberts clan and see Kiersta and the Galasos and their beaufitul girls! So, Chris was supposed to fly to SLC on Thursday night, and because of snow in Dallas, all flights were canceled. So, he wasn't able to come, and I spent the weekend in Utah without him! It was fun, but it would have been more fun if he was there...

Well, I finally have time to post some pics of my London trip! Unfortunately, we did not close on our home on Wednesday as planned, so we have more time to pack...The close was delayed (at least a couple of weeks) because of some legal documentation required on the part of the seller....Sore subject....Anyway, I was in London for 2 weeks on business. I was working with the finance team in our London office, and I had a great time. My mom came over from NC for 5 days, and we spent 3 full days touring the city.

We took the tube and a double decker bus tour all over the city. We went to/saw Oxford Circus, Harrods, the natural history museum, Hyde Park, Kensington Palace, the British Museum, Leceister Square, the changing of the guard at Buckingham Palace, Westminster Abbey, Big Ben, the houses of Parliament, Piccadilly Circus, St. Paul's Cathedral, the Tower of London, the London Eye, and one of the best parts of the whole trip....WICKED! I absolutely loved Wicked, and I can't stop listening to the music. We had amazing seats and had a wonderful time!

Overall, it was great to have the experience of working in/touring London and I had a great time with my Mom, but I was ready to go home after being in a hotel (with mighty small rooms) for 2 weeks. I have been home for a week - just long enough to unpack, do laundry, and head back to Utah tomorrow for a week.

I know, I know...I have been SO bad about blogging, but I have a good reason. I was in London for two weeks on business/pleasure.....I will make an official post with lots of pics and info when I can, but because we are moving into our house over the next few days I have not been able to do it....Here is a small taste of some of the fun things I did. Here I am at Kings Cross station - platform 9 3/4...Gotta love Harry Potter!

Lots of changes in the lives of the Roberts.......a new car, a new haircut, and a NEW HOUSE!!!!! Those of you who know me well know that I stress about debt, but you gotta have a place to live and a car to drive, right?? We are VERY excited to move into our new home in a month. We are finalizing insurance/loan, etc in the next couple of days and will close at the end of February. We will be out of town most of February, so this is all going to happen very quickly. We are excited to remove some wallpaper, paint, and make the place our own. We're finally growing up! Oh, and here's some Texas tumbleweed we found next to the Kia the other day...

We had a low-key Christmas in Midland this year. We spent Christmas Eve with some friends in our ward, the Atwoods, and we had a GREAT time there! We had fun eating yummy food and playing games. This morning we opened the few presents we had and looked through our stockings. It was an electronic Christmas for us this year. We updated our computer and got an iPod. It was a nice, relaxing holiday!

We had a great trip to Utah for Chris' birthday! I went to the Omniture Holiday party (sans Chris), and I didn't get any pics of it, but I was able to go to the Tabernacle Choir and Orchestra at Temple Square Christmas concert at the Conference Center, which was wonderful! I also got to hang out with some friends and family. I didn't get too many pics this time, but here's what I have.

We just got back from an awesome trip to NC! We had a great time going to Dollywood, eating some yummy food, and being together. We got to meet our sweet new nephew, Gavin, and ate at a wonderful dinner at a Japanese steakhouse. I also got to spend some time with some of my high school friends and took some pics of the gorgeous Autumn leaves in the Great Smokies. Enjoy!
